About the Lodge
Buhoma Lodge is an intimate and charming property that offers spectacular and uninterrupted views of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, home to the rare and elusive mountain gorilla. As one of only two lodges situated within the national park, it is just a short walk from the meeting point for gorilla tracking and other activities in the Buhoma area. The lodge features an elevated central area with a lounge, bar, and dining area, providing a cozy and comfortable environment to discuss the day’s adventures around the fireplaces, which add atmosphere and warmth on cool evenings.
Our Rooms
Mihingo Lodge features 12 luxury tented rooms designed to offer guests privacy and tranquility. Each room possesses its own unique charm and character, whether nestled in the forest, overlooking the lake, perched on a rocky outcrop, or situated by the waterhole. Although no two rooms are the same, Suni and Ralph have ensured they all share stunning views, providing guests with a light and airy sanctuary and a sense of solitude in the bush.
Each spacious canvas tent comes equipped with en-suite bathrooms, hot and cold running water, showers, and flush toilets. The rooms are sensitively designed to blend with the local environment, with great attention to detail. The doorways are framed by beautiful pieces of dead olive wood found on the land.
