Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe.
A Frero Adventures representative will wait upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport to receive you warmly. You shall be transferred to the hotel where you spend your first night here. Relax and get yourself ready for what is ahead.
Day 2: Entebbe-Kitgum
After breakfast, travel to Kidepo Valley National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. This sanctuary focuses on breeding of black and white rhinos so as to reestablish them in Uganda’s parks. Then proceed to Kitgum while making stops at refugee camps along the way. Dinner shall be served today in a simple lodge.
Day 3: Kidepo Valley National Park-Kitgum
On this day you’ll be moving on from Kitgum to Kidepo Valley National Park during the morning hours. The park lies outside Karamojong Province which makes it Uganda’s most isolated national park ever. The beautiful drive through its unique landscapes gives an insight into Acholi and Karamojong cultures alike. Late afternoon admission into the park shall allow us to take brief game rides and maybe visit some campsites or schools around here
Day 4: Kidepo Valley National Park Exploration
Dedicate a day to traversing the remote terrains of Kidepo Valley National Park that have fantastic landscapes. Indulge in game drives and take an evening walking safari with friends or family. For an additional bush lunch at this park, go visit ostriches from the southern border of Sudan. As a late afternoon option, one can also engage with local Karamojong communities or go on another game drive.
Days 5 & 6: Transition from Kidepo to Murchison Falls National Park
Get ready to leave Kidepo for Murchison Falls National Park where you will stop by Kitgum or Gulu for meals. Spend time resting near the Nile River from your lodge in the evening. The following morning set out early on a game drive to see lions, giraffes, buffaloes and elephants. After lunch take a boat ride at the base of Murchison Falls where the Nile River dives into a narrow gorge then return back for dinners at your lodge.
Day 7: Murchison Falls to Hoima
After breakfast, leave for Hoima, which is a 5-hour drive. Arrive at the cultural lodge in time for lunch and thereafter get an opportunity to take part in cooking classes with the locals and learn more about traditional Ugandan dishes.
Day 8: Hoima to Fort Portal
Head to Fort Portal soon after breakfast, arriving there during the afternoon period. Tour sites include Toro Kings Palace, Amabere Caves, and local craft markets.
Day 9: Fort Portal to Nshenyi Village
The trip begins early in the morning leaving for Nshenyi Village where you will stop for some lunch on your way. When you arrive you will be introduced into village life and culture among other things|| you will take cows out for grazing, provide them water and process milk into ghee optionally visiting a local school walking in nature or going to an open marketplace.
Day 10: Nshenyi Village to Kisoro
Start your day milking long-horned Ankole cows before having breakfast then leaving for Bahima tribe village in order to learn about their way of life before transferring to Kisoro later on in the afternoon
Day 11: Experience on Batwa Trail
Be an early bird and awake early just to make it to Batwa community besides the Batwa cave used to host their king. You will learn about the history and traditions of Batwa/Pygmies while you enjoy cultural performances inclusive of cooking classes.
Day 12: Bwindi to Entebbe
After breakfast, move to Kisoro Airstrip for your flight to Entebbe. You will then proceed to Entebbe International Airport where you will depart from thereafter.
