Experience the thrill of up-close gorilla trekking on this 3 Days Rwanda Gorilla Tour with Frero Adventures. The tour takes you through Uganda, Rwanda and Congo’s Virunga volcanoes where you will meet mountain gorillas and visit the Gorilla Guardians Village. Volcanoes National Park, situated in the northern part of Rwanda along its border with Uganda, is where your exciting expedition shall begin. Enjoy observing the magnificent views of some small villages and the beautiful scenery in the “Land of a Thousand Hills.”

Day 1: Travelling To Volcanoes National Park
Depending on your location, you will be picked up from the airport or your hotel by a representative from Frero Adventures. The journey will start with a brief city excursion of Kigali where some of the preeminent historical and cultural sites such as the Kigali Genocide Memorial Center, craft markets, Kandt National Museum and the Presidential Museum will be explored. For lunch, choose either local or continental at any city Restaurant before going on to Volcanoes National Park – home to the mountain gorillas.
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking In Volcanoes National Park
Your driver guide will take you to the briefing point where park rangers tell what to expect in the park after an early breakfast. As you wait for everyone else, enjoy Rwandan coffee while watching traditional dances. Tips on gorilla hiking such as avoiding flash photography will be shared by a ranger guide after which trekking groups are formed. Based on your driver guide’s recommendation depending on where exactly within the forest is located that specific group of gorillas that you want to track down this morning; he’ll take you from there towards mountain climbing at dawn hours. In the afternoon relax or visit Musanze Caves or Twin Lakes for more active options.
Day 3: Gorilla Guardians Village & Departure
After the gorilla trekking experience, explore the culture at the Gorilla Guardians Village. This visit offers insights into the history and culture of Rwanda. Some members of this cultural village are former poachers who now contribute to the conservation of mountain gorillas by sharing their culture. After this experience, you will be transferred to your hotel or the airport.
