14 Days Rwanda Cultural Experience Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival
A member of Frero Adventures will extend a warm greeting and provide you with an overview of the safari itinerary upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport. After that, you’ll be taken to the Kigali City lodging that you had reserved, where you may unwind and get ready for the exciting journey that lies ahead.
Day 2: Full-Day Kigali City Tour

Understand Rwandan’s basic living styles and see colonial time architectures and distinct ones as well. In the afternoon visit the old Catholic church found within town then develop what Rwandese are like. End the day with a night out enjoying some dinner.
Day 5: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park and Canopy Walk
After an early breakfast, start your two-hour drive to Nyungwe National Park, which takes you through Rwanda’s stunning rolling hills. Once there, take an exciting canopy walk on a 70-meter suspended bridge for sweeping views of the verdant Nyungwe Forest. Look out for the many species of primates that live in the jungle. Head to your lodge for some downtime, dinner, and an overnight stay after the canopy walk.
Day 6: Tea Plantation Visit and Afternoon Boat Ride in Kibuye
Your cultural journey will continue by visiting the Gisakura tea plantation right after breakfast. Partake in a crop-to-cup experience by visiting the tea fields, interacting with farmers during harvesting, touring the processing factory etc. Later on drive to Kibuye along Lake Kivu enjoying spectacular scenery of hilly terrains in Rwanda. An afternoon boat ride takes place on Lake Kivu to explore Napoleon and Amahoro Islands. Short hikes are done to find rare Angola fruit bats as well as many birds and learn a bit about their stories too Return home for dinner and then spend the night there.
Day 7: Travel to Gisenyi and An Outing on The Congo Nile Trail

Day 9: Excursion to Buhanga Eco Park followed by an evening canoe ride
Leave Gisenyi after breakfast in order to travel to Musanze. Once you reach there, take time to visit Buhanga Eco Park where ancient Rwandan kings used to perform initiation and ritualistic ceremonies. One can visit the guided nature trail which consists of coronation baths surrounded by a small flowery thicket that consisted of little lava rocks as wells as many other sites for these rituals. Throughout your stay, you may come across a variety of antelope species in addition to elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and zebras among the many types of wildlife on exhibit in the many ecosystems. Day 14: Return to Kigali and Departure
After breakfast you will begin your journey back to Kigali. If time allows you can visit Kimironko Market for souvenirs and experience the local market life. After that you can head to Kigali International Airport for a departure flight marking the end of an incredible 14 days Rwandan Culture Experience.
